The Lead: The Emerson women's team collected two wins in their doubles matches and four singles wins to capture the 6-3 fall season opening victory out at Gordon on Friday afternoon.

  • The Emerson women's tennis team picked up four wins in their singles matches and two doubles win to take the 6-3 win at Gordon to open the fall 2022 season.

No. 2: Oglensky/Stinson defeated Abbigail Fournier/Hannah Hovda, 8-6.

No. 3: Allyson Fournier/Amanda Moraes beat Lauren Germani/Carlson Jones, 8-1.

No. 1: Wilson defeated Abbigail Fournier (6-3, 6-4)

No. 2: Oglensky topped Helmer (6-2, 6-4)

No. 3: McGovern bested Hannah Hovda (6-3, 6-4)

No. 4: Stinson defeated Allyson Fournier (6-2, 6-1)

No. 5: Germany was topped by Moraes (6-4, 4-6, 7-10)

No. 6: Jones was bested by Meli Markarian (2-6, 0-6)
