HOW IT HAPPENED

4'': It took Emerson a mere four minutes to give themselves an early lead. Off a feed from Barragan-Shaw in the top right corner of the box, Khaw booted the Lions' first goal into the top left corner, just out of Nazario's reach.

20": The hosts maintained offensive control and added an insurance goal 16 minutes after taking the 1-0 edge. With a defender on her tail, Lukoskie took the ball down the left wing and crossed the ball to Barragan-Shaw. Barragan-Shaw squared up in front of the net and sent the ball past Nazario's left side.

38'': With seven minutes left in the opening half, Bruce helped bump Emerson to the 3-0 advantage. After she cut in from the right side with defenders all around, her shot went off the goalie's initial save and rolled into the bottom left corner.

60": Barragan-Shaw used her second net of the game to extend Emerson's cushion to four as she took a pass from Righetti and snuck the ball past Van Cott's diving reach.

86": Emerson iced their 5-0 victory with four minutes left in regulation with the help of a goal from West-Rodrigues that she snuck under Van Cott.
