Women's Soccer Stunned By Clark In Double Overtime, 2-1

The Lead: Sophomore Grace Cosgrove (Sherman Oaks, Calif.) gave the Emerson women's soccer team an early 1-0 first half lead that carried midway into the second, but Clark put in the game winning goal at the 104th minute mark as the Lions fell 2-1 in NEWMAC action on Tuesday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED 

8" (EMERSON): It took a mere eight minutes into the opening half for Emerson to snag the 1-0 lead thanks to Cosgrove putting one behind Small with the help of Stack. The Lions were able to hold on to the one goal lead throughout the half as the shots were at an even 3-3 on both sides.

52" (CLARK): Clark was able to level the score at 1-1 seven minutes into the second half when Kaloustian got a foot on a pass from Tzicharis and knocked the equalizer past Rose. Neither team scored for the remainder of the half as the game entered overtime. 

104" (CLARK): Bruce nearly put in the deciding goal in the 103rd minute, but was snatched up by Small only to have Marocco tally the unassisted game winner 32 seconds later.
