HOW IT HAPPENED
Emerson fell behind early, with Casey Kaplan scoring her first girl just 1:20 into the first half giving the Lyons a 1-0 lead.
The game stayed 1-0 for the next twelve minutes, before Kaplan added a second goal, starting a 6-0 run to end the half.
Wheaton (Mass.) added five more goals from five different players to take a 7-0 lead into halftime.
Opening in the second half, Jessie Kilburn scored three goals in five minutes to give the LYons a 1-0 lead.
Wheaton (Mass.) added six more goals before the end of the game.
Emerson grabbed their lone goal through freshman Lauren Longstreet (Alamo, Calif.), her fourth of the season. Lonmgstreet's goal was assisted by Jules Rein (Geneva, Ill.), who notched her first collegiate assist and point.
Emerson returns home next weekend to take on the Clark University Cougars on Saturday, April 3rd at 7:00pm.
