  • Junior Ava Salti drilled a three-pointed on a pass from Sophomore Mackenzie Bruno to give the Lions a 10-4 lead.
  • Wellesley would close out the first quarter with a scoring run of their own and take an 11-10 lead with :7 remining in the first quarter.
  • Both offenses got into more a rhythm in the second quarter, with Wellesley outscoring the Lions 17-11. Junior Olivia Deslauriers scored 4 of her 11 points in the second quarter, along with 5 points from Gibbons, but the Lions could not keep pace with Wellesley and would enter halftime down by a score of 28-21.
  • Junior Ella Bushee helped keep the Lions in the game during the third quarter scoring 8 of her 10 points. In the frame, Bushee shot 50% from the field while converting both of her free throw attempts. Unfortunately for the Lions, Wellesley's offense continued to be consistent as they shot 46% from the field and held a 45-33 lead after three quarters.
