  • Led be Devin Hill, Carla Pelino, and Olivia Deslauriers, the Lions jumped out to a 7-0 lead over the Judges in the first five minutes of the opening quarter.
  • Down by 7, the Judges came storming back with a 14-0 run of their own. Five Judges players contributed to the run, giving Brandeis a 14-7 lead. The Lions were unable to close the 7-point gap before the end of the quarter and the first quarter ended with a score of 18-11 in favor of Brandies.
  • The second quarter saw Brandeis extend their lead to as many as 10 points, but the Lions kept clawing back into striking distance.  With 3:40 remaining in the first half, Ava Salti drilled a three to cut the Judges lead to 5-points.
  • Brandeis would again pull away and lead the game by a score of 39-29 at halftime.
  • The Lions offense struggled in the third quarter as they were only able to score 5 points as Brandeis put up 28 points in the quarter. The Judges built a comfortable 67-34 lead after three quarters.
  • The Lions continued to try to chip away at the lead into the fourth quarter but they were unsuccessful. The lead Brandeis had built was too large to overcome for the Lions as they ultimately lost by a score of 94-51

The Lions return to Brown and Plofker Gym as they host cross-town opponent Suffolk University on Thursday, November 17 at 7pm.
