The Lead: Katie Beckamnn dropped in 10 points and pulled down 8 rebounds on Senior Day but the Lions fell to Springfield 76-45 Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED `
- Springfield started the game with a 10-0 run with Sidney Wentland and Rachel Vintor contributing four points each.
- Emerson was forced to call a timeout with 7:08 remaining in the first quarter and were able to get on the board out of the timeout on back-to-back buckets from Chloe Allen and Carla Pelino.
- Springfield would continue their scoring and finish the first quarter on a 12-6 run pushing their lead to 22-10 while shooting 64% from the field.
- Ava Salti hit a quick three-pointer to open the second quarter but four consecutive baskets by Grace Dzindolet extended Springfield's lead to 33-13 with 6:05 remaining in the first half.
- Katie Beckamnn would drill a jumper with 1:36 left in the first half but Springfield answered right back and would close out the half with a 41-22 lead.
- Beckmann would roll the momentum into the second half as she scored 8 of her 10 points in the third quarter.
- Springfield's Sidney Wentland would add 8 points of her own as Springfield outscored the Lions 21-11 in the third quarter as they extended their lead to 62-33 heading into the final quarter.
- Chelsea Gibbons contributed 5 of her 11 points in the final quarter but that was not enough as Springfield was able to claim the 76-45 victory.
