The Lead: 13 points from Sam Boyle (Scotts Valley, Calif.) and 10 Points from Chloe Allen (Switzerland) were not enough for the Emerson Women's Basketball Team, who fell to MIT on Wednesday night, dropping their conference record to 4-4.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Emerson and MIT traded baskets to open the game, with the Lions earning their first lead of the game at 6-5 on a Quinn Madden (Mokena, Ill.) jumper with 5:47 remaining in the frame. MIT rattled off11straight points from here, but the Lions scored four straight to cut the lead to six at 16-10, where the quarter ended.
- MIT opened up the second frame on a 10-6 run, extending their lead to 26-16 with half of the second quarter still remaining. Two straight three pointers from the Engineers extended the lead to sixteen. Both teams traded baskets to close out the wuarter, with MIT leading 39-22 athalf.
- The Engineers opened the second half on a 7-0 run, extending their lead to 27. The Lions scored five straight points following the Engineeres run, cutting the lead back down to 22. Both teams continued to battle, with MIT ending the fourth quarter with a 34 point lead, 68-34.
- Halfway through the fourth quarter, Chloe Allen (Switzerland), headlined a 12-2 run by the Lions, scoring 10 of the 12 points with two and one's,with a Chelsea Gibbons layup in between. The run was not enough, as the Lions fell to the Engineers 80-49.
