  • Trailing by three with under four minutes to play in the first, Boyle knocked down a shot from downtown to knot the score at 10-all.
  • Wesleyan outscored Emerson down the stretch, 8-3, and were able to build a three point lead over the Lions to wrap the first on Heidi Scarth's layup (16-13).
  • Toner connected for a deep three-point bucket with 5:28 remaining in the second stanza to push Emerson back in front.
  • A little less than two minutes later, the Lions offense extended their advantage to six following Madden's jumper, which capped off a lengthy 13-2 stretch.
  • Wesleyan responded with a 9-0 run that was snapped by Madden's triple with 10 seconds left in the half to level the score at 29-29.
  • Emerson put up the second half's first basket to regain a lead, but the hosts answered with a 6-0 spurt and grabbed a lead that they would not relinquish.
  • Roush hit back-to-back threes followed by a layup in the closing minutes of the third quarter to give Wesleyan a 49-38 advantage.
  • Emerson came up with a 5-0 run to wrap the third, but a basket by Petruzzi with three seconds left gave the Cardinals an eight point lead going into the fourth (51-43).
  • The Lions pulled within four following another trey from Toner at the 6:47 mark, which was the closest they would come within the Cardinals.
  • Wesleyan came up with an 11-0 streak capped off by a layup by Ava Tompkins at the 2:48 mark and gave the Cardinals a 15-point lead to put the ice the game.
