HOW IT HAPPENED
- Wheaton scored four rungs in the first inning, with Katelyn Barton plated two with a double, and ended up scoring on a groundout.
- Wheaton added four more runs in the bottom of the second, started by Lindsay Whittles who recorded two RBIs on a single.
- Barton and Whittle reached earned more RBIs in the third inning, extending the Wheaton lead to 11-0.
- Wheaton added more runs in the fourth before Emerson scored their lone run on a Mallory Shofi double in the top of the fifth, plating Morgan Mitchell.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The game opened with two scoreless innings by both teams. In the bottom of the third frame, Barton scored the first run on a double to center field by Whittles.
- Barton scored the Wheaton insurance run too, scoring after being hit by a pitch on a groundout.
- Emerson threatened multiple times, but was unable to provide run support for pitcher Myranda Borque, who only allowed two hits over six innings for the Lions.
