The Lead: The Lions winning streak was extended to seven before being snapped by Muhlenberg in their final game in Osceola, Fla.

Game One (vs. Misericordia)


  • The Lions outhit the Cougars 7-6 in the seven inning game.
  • Neely Eddleston (Wareham, Mass.) earned the victory by pitching six innings for the Lions, giving up six hits, three runs (two earned) and striking out two batters.
  • Casey Tsamis (Colchester, Conn.) earned the save by closing out the final inning for the Lions.
  • Marisa DeFranco (Falls Church, Va.) had two hits and scored two runs from the leadoff spot for the Lions.
  • Micaela Dix (White House Station, N.J.) and Maddie Tomich  had one hit and scored one run.
  • Michael Dix hit a home run for her one hit.


  • Jacequile DeFusco (East Greenwich, R.I.) singled in the bottom of the first, driving home Marisa DeFranco and giving the Lions a 1-0 lead.
  • The Cougars responded in the top of the second when they scored their first run off an error by the Lions. 
  • Michael Dix responded with a solo  home run in the bottom of the second inning, taking the lead back for the Lions at 2-1.
  • The game stayed 2-1 until Kallista Leonardos doubled to left center in the bottom of the fifth inning, plating Marisa DeFranco and Maddie Tomich.
  • The Lions took a 4-1 lead into the sixth inning where the Cougars were able to score two runs, but the comeback fell short and the Lions won 4-3.

Game Two (vs Muhlenberg)


  • The Lions were outhit by the Mules 15-2 and outscored 9-0.
  • Hanna Caiola and Amelia Shelley each scored two runs for the Mules.
  • Lindsey Lowe and Micaela Dix each recorded a hit for the Lions. 
  • Casey Tsamis pitched 3 2/3 innings for the Lions and Erin Nolan pitched 1/3.


  • Muhlenberg started the game on fire, scoring four runs in the first inning.
  • Nicole Atkins topped off the first inning with a sacrifice fly, giving the Mules a 4-0 lead going into the second.
  • The score stayed the same until the third inning when Haley Fedak hit a grand slam, putting the Lions in an 8-0 hole.
  • The Mules tacked on one more run on a Kristina Qualben single down the line, extending the lead to 9-0.
  • The Lions were unable to grab a run in the next two innings, ending the game a 9-0 in five innings.


  • The Lions will have a doubleheader against Simmons on Sunday, March 18, starting at 1:00pm.
  • Muhlenberg will have a doubleheader against King (Pa.) on Tuesday, Mach 13, starting at 3:00pm.
