HOW IT HAPPENED `

Roger Williams had no shortage of scoring chances early in the match and throughout the first half. The Hawks outshot the Lions by a total of 7-0 in the first 45 minutes of competition. Sophomore goalkeeper Ethan Fitzsimmons notched both of his saves in the first half and was able to keep the Hawks off the board.

The Lions would break the shot drought in the 57' when Freshman Jorah Delbanco tried to sneak a shot by the Hawks keeper, but was unsuccessful. Freshman Evan Lee tried to break the scoreless tie in the 62' when his shot headed for the top right of the net was turned away by the Hawks goalkeeper. Senior Bo Feekins had one last try for the Lions in the 76' but his attempt was also turned away.

Neither side was able to find the back of the net through 90 minutes of play and the match concluded in a 0-0 tie.
