Seven Student-Athletes Named To NEILA Division III Men's Lacrosse All-Academic Team

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. - Yesterday, June 21st, the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Associate (NEILA) announced their 2022 All-Academic Team, which was made up of a record 223 student-athletes. Members of teams are comprised of those who have excelled both in the classroom and on the field over the course of their lacrosse careers. Seven members of the Emerson men's lacrosse team were selected to this year's team, including seniors Austin FranklinHunter Gervais, Jack Lewis, Jiwon Kim, Lex Torrington, Peirce Eldredge and Skyler Celotto 

Members of the teams are selected by head coaches in Divisions I, II and III with representation from over 55 different colleges and universities across all three divisions. In Division III, 129 athletes from 37 institutions made up this year's squad. Within the NEWMAC, 27 student-athletes represented all six institutions. 

Nominees must have senior or graduate student standing, a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale, and be an impact player for their team.
