Men’s Lacrosse Tabbed At No. 7 In NEWMAC Preseason Coaches’ Poll

The Emerson Men's Lacrosse Team has been ranked no. 7 in the New England Women's And Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Preseason Coaches' Poll for 2020.  The Lions finished the 2019 season with a 3-14 record and a 1-6 record in conference.  The conference victory was over Wheaton (Mass.) 7-6 in overtime, the first time Emerson has ever won a NEWMAC contest.

The poll opens up with Springfield in the top spot, who are the reigning conference champions.  Springfield is followed by Coast Guard, who fell to Springfield in the 2019 championship.  MIT comes in at third, followed by Babson and Clark.  Wheaton (Mass.) and Emerson close out the poll at sixth and seventh.

Skyler Celotto (Westport, Conn.) earned Second Team All-Conference in 2019, and returns for his sophomore season in 2020.

Emerson opens up their season on February 26th, when they welcome Wentworth to Rotch Field for a 6:00pm game.
