    CAMBRIDGE Mass-The Emerson Baseball team wrapped up their 2022 campaign on Saturday afternoon. Senior Calvin Jacey drove in 2 runs and classmate Joe Colucci added 3 hits for the afternoon but the Lions ultimately dropped both games to the Engineers of MIT.

    LYNN, Mass. - The Emerson baseball team took a senior day split with Clark on a Saturday afternoon that saw the Lions pick up their first NEWMAC victory of 2022. In game one, the Lions were edged out, 2-1. Then in the nightcap, the Purple & Gold exploded for a seven-run seventh to take game two, 10-3.

    LYNN, Mass- Despite senior Lou Davolio blasting his 3rd home run of the year and a multi-hit performance from Junior Jake Hatch, the Lions were unable to overcome the offensive onslaught from the Fisher Falcons. Fisher utilized an 8-run second inning to deal the Emerson Lions their fourth loss of the young season.

  • Baseball Splits Twinbill with Bethany Lutheran and Buena Vista

    TUCSON, AZ- Senior outfielders Quinton Copeland and Lou Davolio would each have five hits on the day to go with another outfield assist from Copeland and Senior hurler Johnny Maffei would go the distance in game 1, throwing a complete game shutout. Maffei punched out 7 during his stellar performance. In the backend of the doubleheader, despite a multi-hit, multi-RBI game from Senior Joe Colucci, the Lions were unable to overcome a potent offensive attack from Buena Vista.
  • Baseball Suffers First Loss of Season to DII SMSU; 15-5

    TUCSON, AZ- In a back-and-forth game that saw the Mustangs pull away in the middle innings, Senior outfielder Quinton Copeland contributed with an opposite field 2 RBI triple and Senior Rory Tettemer added an RBI single, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the SMSU offensive attack, as the Lions lost for the first time this season, 15-5.
  • Thai Morgan Tabbed As NEWMAC Baseball Player Of The Week

    WESTWOOD, Mass. -Today, March 7th, the NEWMAC (New Women's and Men's Athletic Conference) announced the NEWMAC Athletes of the Week for competition ending on March 6th. Emerson junior Thai Morgan was tabbed the Baseball Athlete of the Week in a week where the Lions finished 3-0. This is a first time honor for Morgan.

  • Baseball Holds Free Baseball Clinic With City of Malden Recreation Department

    MALDEN, Mass. - This past Saturday, February 5th, the Emerson College Baseball program helped host a free baseball clinic in partnership with the city of Malden Recreation department. Members of the Lions coaching staff and student athletes worked with young baseball athletes on all phases of the game. Stations included throwing, infield and outfield drills, hitting and base running.
