Bottom 2nd: After a one out single by Santoianni began Springfield's inning, Barrett sent a sacrifice fly out to right for the Pride's first run. (1-1, tie)

Top 3rd: Padovani started off the Lions' half of the third with a double into left and was brought in on Morgan's sacrifice fly to regain the lead. (2-1, Emerson

Bottom 4th: With runners on the corners, Springfield was able to capitalize as Cooney brought in Santoianni on a sacrifice bunt to the pitcher. The hosts plated the go-ahead score one at-bat later when Bleakley batted an RBI double into center. (3-2, Springfield)

Top 5th: An Emerson defensive mishap and single into left put two runners on the bags, which proved costly for the visitors as Noah Diamond grounded out to the shortstop and allowed Simonetty to come home. (4-2, Springfield)

Top 6th: The top of the sixth saw Emerson lock up the score with two runs of its own. After Joe Colucci reached second on a wild pitch, Copeland clubbed a three-bag RBI into center to bring the Lions within one. Hatch did his part and got Copeland home on a one-out grounder to second to even the score. (4-4, tie)

Bottom 7th: Springfield claimed the lead right back in the seventh on Santoianni's RBI single into right. The Pride threatened for more with the bases juiced and two outs, but Barrett was caught stealing at second to wrap the inning. (5-4 Springfield)

Bottom 8th: Fazio quickly got Springfield back into the game with the tying RBI single to bring in Smith. Simonetty put the Pride ahead for good when he sent a single into left that was followed by a costly bases loaded walk. (8-6, Springfield)
