Baseball Goes Yard Six Times In Twin-bill Split With MIT

DANVERS, Mass. - Seniors Jake Hatch and Matt Nachamie and graduate Quinton Copeland went yard a combined six times for the Emerson baseball team as the Lions came away with the split in their regular season finale against MIT on Saturday afternoon. Emerson fell just short of MIT in the opening game 9-8, before Nachamie’s two home runs help lift the Lions to the 8-6 comeback win in game two. 

Softball Snags Sweep Over Wellesley

WELLESLEY, Mass. - In the Emerson softball team’s regular season finale, the Lions came away with the sweep out at Wellesley on Friday afternoon. Junior Makenzie Killough powered the Emerson bats with four RBIs and led the Lions to a 7-2 win in game one. In game two, Zenga’s fifth inning single and Gomez’s complete game shutout was enough for Emerson to outlast Wellesley, 1-0. 

Baseball Goes Deep Three Times In Victory Over Springfield, 8-2

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. - An explosive six-run seventh inning, three home runs from seniors Jack Hatch, Chris Ferara and Matt Nachamie and a solid outing from freshman Angelo Deer propelled the Emerson baseball team to a historic 8-2 victory over Springfield on Tuesday afternoon. The win set a single season record in wins at 16. 

Softball Splits Twin-bill With Wheaton (Mass.)

BOSTON, Mass. - The Emerson softball team wrapped their regular season home schedule with a doubleheader split against Wheaton (Mass.) on Saturday afternoon. In game one, junior Makenzie Killough and sophomore Sam Zannotti combined for seven RBIs in the Lions’ 10-5 victory. Then in game two, Emerson was shut out, 9-0.

Men's Lacrosse Falls To MIT

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Sophomore Jack Burns paced all scorers with six goals followed by graduate goalkeeper Malcolm McGrath’s 20 saves in the Emerson men’s lacrosse team’s 20-9 setback over at MIT on Saturday afternoon. 

Women's Lacrosse Slips to Smith

BOSTON, Mass-The Emerson Women’s Lacrosse team got two goals apiece from Jules Rein and Callie Krosin but that was not enough as they dropped their Saturday night NEWMAC showdown to Smith at Rotch Field.
