DANVERS, Mass. - The Emerson baseball team played comeback ball by spreading six of its seven runs within the final three frames and used junior Joe Paladino’s (Bedminster, N.J.) line drive single into center in the bottom of the ninth to walk-off with the 7-6 win over Clark on Wednesday afternoon in NEWMAC play. With the win, the Lions captured the series sweep over the Cougars.
Neely Eddleston (West Wareham, Mass.) entered the game in relief for the Lions, earning the victory in 5.2 innings pitched behind Lexi Semanchik’s (Flemington, N.J.) two RBIs to give the Lions the 5-4 victory.
The Emerson Lions Softball Team took on the Smith College Pioneers on Friday, with the Lions emerging victorious in the first game before the second game was called to darkness in the top of the seventh inning with Emerson leading 11-9.
