Women's Tennis Performs Well Against Bridgewater St.

The Emerson Women's Tennis Team fell 5-1 to Bridgewater St. on Friday night. The match was cut short due to light, but Bridgewater St. was victorious 5-1. Emerson's middle pairing of doubles earned it's only point through Thea Nagle and Alex Weingarten. Annie Woodbury and Rachel Scalera fell in their doubles match 8-5.  Cassic Burns and Mackenzie Swaney fell 8-2.

Rachel Scalera fell in her match against Olivia Sweeney 6-2, 6-3.  Mackenzie Swaney fell to Vanessa Rosa 6-4, 6-1.  Sarah Skeeles fell to Madison Butkus 6-2, 6-2.  Thea Nagle, Alex Weingarten, and Annie Woodbury's matches were unable to be finished due to light restrictions.

Depsite the loss, Coach Aaron Bergeron was happy with the way the team fought.  He noted that Thea Nagle had a breakout performance.  She had a strong showing in doubles to help edge out a victory, and was playing well her singles match before it was called.

The team will be in action again in it's final match of the fall on October 14th when they take on Salem St away from St. John's Prep, starting at 11:00AM.
