The Lead: Natalie Clydesdale (Pittsburgh, Penn.) and Sam Boyle (Scotts Valley, Calif.) both scored in double figures for the Lions as Emerson fell to Tufts 88-42.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

  • The Lions had two players in double figures, Clydesdale and S. Boyle.  Clydesdale was one rebound shy of a double double with nine.
  • Quinn Madden (Mokena, Ill.)  scored seven and Charlie Boyle (Scotts Valley, Calif.) had seven and six as started for the Lions.
  • Rachel Davey (Saratoga, Calif.) led all bench players with five points for Emerson.
  • Tufts had four players in double figures, with Cailian Harrington leading the team with 17.
  • Jac Knapp and Emily Briggs each had 16 points for the Judos while Molly Ryan had 11 points and 9 rebounds. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Emerson opened the game with the first two points on a layup by S. Boyle.
  • The Jumbos went on a 25-5 run after this to open up a 25-7 lead at the end of the first quarter.
  • The Lions scored 10 points in the second quarter, compared to the Jumbos 19 and were behind 44-17 at halftime.
  • The Lions had a strong quarter in the third, scoring 13 behind Sam Boyle.
  • The Lions were outscored 14-12 in the final frame to give the Jumbos the victory, 88-42.

  • The Lions are off until after the new year when they take on the Simmons Sharks away from home on December 5th at 1:00pm.
