The Emerson Men's Tennis team fell to the Skyhawks of Stonehill College on Wednesday night with a match score of 6-3. The Lions grabbed an early lead through the doubles pairing of Bass Lin and Dan Okin, who defeated their coutnerparts 8-3. Maximo Lawlor and Brock Higley fell in their doubles match 8-3 and Bernardo Garza and Shawn Lee fell 8-0 in their doubles match.
Bass Lin earned a victory in his singles match as well, defeating Samuel Miller 6-4, 6-4. Maximo Lawlot pulled out the second win in doubles for Emerson with a 6-0,6-0 victory over Russell White. Dan Okin, Brock Higley, Bernardo Garza, and Shawn Lee fell in their singles matches, with all players forcing tough sets for their Stonehill opponents.
Head Coach Aaron Bergeron noted "It's always fun to match up against my alma mater. They're known for their depth and proved to be a little too strong down the lineup today. That being said, I'm happy with the way our Freshmen performed and looking forward to seeing what they can accomplish this season."
Up next, he team travels to take part in the ITA Invitational in Vermont on Friday and Saturday.
