The Emerson Lions Men's Soccer Team has announced their schedule for the 2018 season. The team will take part in 17 games, nine at home and eight on the road. Their first match will be the first athletic competition on the newly renovated Rotch Field on Friday, August 31st, when they welcome Pine Manor to open the season. The Lions have a quick turnaround and will take on cross-town rivals Emmanuel at 12PM on Saturday, September 1st.
After traveling to Emmanuel, the Lions have a three game home stretch, against Salem State, UMASS Boston, and Clark. The final game of the stretch against Clark will be the first NEWMAC contest of 2018 for the Lions, which will take place on Friday ,September 14th at 7:00pm. The Lions will then go on a three game away stretch against Newbury, Coast Guard, and Lesley. Their return home will be the final game of September against WPI on the 29th at 1:00pm.
The Lions will have 8 games in the month of October, with four being away and four being at Rotch Field. They will open the matches on October first at home against Eastern Nazarene. The Lions will then travel to NEWMAC rival Babson before returning home for two games against Bates and Springfield. The Lions will play out of conference at Framingham State on Ovtober 16th, then return to their final home game at Rotch field against Wheaton College. The Liosn wrap up the season by traveling to Regis and MIT, with the final game taking place on Saturday, October 27th at 1:00pm.
