Springfield Defeats Men's Basketball

BOSTON, Mass - Emerson Men's Basketball suffered a tough loss to the visiting Springfield College Pride as they pushed past the Lions for a 82-62 victory.

Springfield rises to 12-11 overall and 6-6 in the NEWMAC, while the Lions drop to 6-17 overall and 2-10 in conference.

Leading scorers for both the Lions and the Pride recorded a double double tonight. Freshman Jake Ross lead the Pride in both rebounds, 10, and points, 20. Leading for the Lions was sophomore Geoffrey Gray who put up 18 points and had 11 rebounds.

Springfield will play its final regular season home game on Wednesday evening when it hosts Clark at 7:30 pm. The Lions return to action Wednesday, Feb 15th, when they travel across the river to play MIT for a 7:00pm tipoff.
