Twenty-Six Lions Headline NEWMAC All-Academic Teams

The Emerson Lions Community is proud to recognize our 24 athletes who were honored by the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference over the past week for success in the classroom.  The 24 Lions were from four different spring sports teams, with baseball having eight players. In order to be eligible for the team, one must be an active member of his or her team for the whole season, have a 3.5 GPA, and be a second year student.

The softball team was honored with five student-athletes.  Three seniors, Jillian Gearin, Caroline Fortuna, and Jacqueline DeFusco were all honored with their last opportunity.  Junior Kallista LEonardos and sophomore Micaela Dix were also on the list.

The Women's Lacrosse team had six members of the team, with four seniors.  Ellie Penfield-Cyr, Kristina Modica, Tara Windsor, and Christine Davies were all recognized in their last opportunity to make the list.  Camille Mumford and Emily Quinn were also recognized for their great work in the classroom

Women's Tennis had three student-athletes make the list.  Jolin Cheng, Sabrina Jacobs, and Alisha Parikh were all honored.

The Baseball team had six student-athletes earn the honor.  Senior Joe Jacobs made it in his last opportunity as he is graduating in the spring.  Joe Cuccio, Joe Paladino, Anthony Pugliese, and CJ Rogers all rounded up the team for baseball.

Congratulations to the 26 Emerson Lions who continued their great work in the classroom and on the field!
